Learn to Play Craps
Craps is always one of the most popular games in the casino and if you choose to attend a land based casino then it is often one of the nosiest as well. If you learn to play craps then friends can be made at the craps table and money won for other gamblers as well – if the dice are hot in your hand then you can be one of the most popular people on the casino floor. The craps table can be one of the more intimidating places to play in the casino but with the house edge as low as 1.41% it can often be worth the effort to learn to play craps. There are a multitude of ways to bet in craps but for the novice it’s always best to start with a few of the simplest. Pass line bet
It’s relatively straightforward to learn to play the pass line bet. When a new shooter (the person with the dice) steps up you place your bet on the ‘Pass Line’. If the shooter rolls a 7 or an 11 then you win, with an even money payout. If the shooter rolls a 2,3 or a 12 then you lose. If anything other than these numbers is rolled then this becomes the ‘Point Number’. For you to win the shooter needs to roll that number again before they roll a 7. This again pays out at even money. If a seven is rolled then you lose your bet.
Don’t Pass Line Bet
If you don’t like the look of the shooter when they step up you can bet against him. This is done by placing your chips on the ‘Don’t Pass Line’ section. The rules are completely reversed in this case, with one difference; if a 12 is rolled by the shooter then it’s a standoff, you neither win nor lose.
